These pirates are a mysterious group of vandals who predate on weaker spaceships and sometimes entire villages. They have no fixed headquarters, their bases are their ships. Ships will often look like this
The pirates are known to be, broadly speaking, uncouth, dirty criminals. However, they are skilled crewmen and know their way around most galaxies, maintaining good contacts with most of the seedy underworld. People are more often willing to aid the pirates than the security forces, which is why they have eluded capture by the IGSD for so long.
In their feuds against the Sky Ninjas, only true adversaries of these pirates, they have been destructive and violent, often damaging people and property. All Fleet platoons must stay clear of large groups of pirates, most ships being outgunned and outmanned. Repeat, stay clear.
