The Official Ops forum is used for Officer sponsored missions. Missions in this area are the only type that can have promotion rewards, although not all missions posted here will have that as a reward.
Promotion Missions will generally have ranks attached to them. For instance: "Ensign Rank" would be an example of a promotion mission.
Fleet Missions are specific campaigns that can earn you official campaign medals. These medals can be images or code. The code is for your YWS signature.
To participate, simply post in the thread in question. Be prepared to provide evidence that you completed the mission in question.
