Planet Name: Tolaria
Planet Location: Heart of the Alpha-R0sE galaxy, first quadrant.
Planet Description: As a whole, Tolaria is still quite a 'green' planet. Seen from outside the atmosphere, it's quite easy to pick out meadows of untouched grassland, snaking rivers, larger bodies of water and so on. However, it also remains a highly industrialized planet, the countryside dotted with small urban centers, skyscrapers spearing up into the sky. However, Tolaria, as a whole, doesn't have a lot of inhabitants, only little over three billion, many having left the planet seeking less specialized job offers.

Notable Geographical Traits: Tolaria posesses four continents and a pole: Paraxi (Pah-rha-xee), Mekom (Meh-kohm), Itarz (Ee-tah-rehz), Deilos (Dee-lohs), and Narsc (Nah-r-ss), Narsc being the pole. Paraxi is the most urbanized continent, a leader in the spacecraft producer in the galazy; Itarz is especially well-versed in the educational sector, providing highly specialized schools in engineering, science, and related subjects; and Narsc is the home of the ARTS (Alpha Research Team of Science), residing in buildings that stretch kilometers under the icy ground of the pole.
Paraxi: Paraxi is a largely flat country, having only a few mountain ranges in the North, the Pharxx Mountains, from which stretch several rivers (the main ones being the Aphero and Hyphero) which in turn branch out into estuaries that criss-cross the continent itself. It is a parliamentary-type democracy, subdivided in twenty-three States, all answering to the President, who resides in the capital, Phaerstrang (Fe-rst-rhang) (http://images5.alphacoders.com/330/330275.jpg ). In turn, all industries answer to the High Council, which can override even the President's decision when necessary, if it has obtained permission from the majority of States. There are no other political entities. People can vote for laws the President passes, which have to be overseen by the High Council. In turn, the Ministers vote for the members of the High Council, which is comprised by twelve members, who shift every five years. The President, on the other hand, is appointed for life by the High Coincil. Candidates for ministry are also chosen by the High Council and the president, but voted for by the people of said state. Paraxi produces 35% of Tolaria's entire energy, harnessing the rivers and bodies of water to produce electricity. The High Council works in collaboration with the ARTS to minimize Co2 emissions, having (mostly) solved that problem by now.
Mekom: Mekom is also a very fertile continent overall, famed throughout the quadrant for its 'Shiftplains,' mobile stretches of land which churn up fertile, farmable soil when they do, and also speeding up the plant growth rate, allowing for double the production than normal. images5.alphacoders.com/327/327831.jpg The country isn't a particularly rich one, income pro capita speaking, and has maintained a communist-type government, though it's been quite strong throughout the ages. The leading party, the MAA (Mekom Agricultural Association) leads strict controls for producers, most being medium-small industries, all answering to them. The country actually does not have any notable mountain ranges on its territory. It did several centuries ago, but a war between itself and Deilos stripped it of them (Delios and Mekom being interconnected via the Fergusson Pass, still an area of high tension and landslide-caused risk). It does not possess (apparently) bodies of water either. In actuality, it does, but they are mostly underground, powerful river rapids too fast to harness for energy. The shift they cause in the continent's tectonic plates are, it seems, responsible for the Shiftplain phenomenon, and why the land is a peculiar reddish-brown color. images5.alphacoders.com/325/325528.jpg The country is not divided in states, per say, but several groups exist who more or less detain power over a certain area. The citiy where the MAA resides is Merkira (Mehr-ki-rha)
Itarz: Itarz is an odd continent. Formed much later than the other three, it had to gain independence through many decades of fighting and campaining. It was assigned relatively useless land at the time, so it had to make do, resulting in very original cityscapes. Itroch is nestled on a mountainside, connected by a series of bridges and platforms, yawning down onto the abyss (The Ithelos Mountains) images7.alphacoders.com/314/314864.jpg , Itedro is crested on a waterfall (Itarz Falls) images5.alphacoders.com/324/324653.jpg and so forth. The capital city is Itutra (Ee-tuh-trah) images5.alphacoders.com/327/327622.jpg As stated previously, Itarz specializes in teaching young ones, so that they may work in one of the many industries that stretch across the planet. It is a parliamentary monarchy. The King and his family reside in Itutra, however, the other political entities in Itedro. Due to its technological advancement, Itarz has much to do with many space-ship contruction projects and other private affiliates, including YWS itself.
