The Legend of The Okari:
One thousand and one hundred years ago, deep within the caves that line what is now known as the Valley of The Okari, lived a small civilisation of dark and powerful people. Renowned for their weapons and ninjas, the Okari were also masters of a rare and long-lost prowess of magic.
At this time, the Kingdoms of Tura were plagued by the throes of war, battling for water and resources as the remains of the Great Ocean were finally drying up. Hidden in the shadows of this war lay the Ikazara, a dark and deadly organisation that not only wanted total control, but also had the power to take it.
The Okari, also under threat from the Ikazara, decided that it was time to step forth and protect the Kingdoms from the Evil Ikazara. Searching through their ranks of ninjas, the Okari procured three shining talents with the skills, spirits, and courage to take down the Ikazara. These heroes were Ninjin, Panyin, and Annata.
Even with skills, greater than the greatest master to roam the lands of Tura, these three heroes were not to face their challenge alone. Instead, the Okari forged three great weapons to assist the young heroes. These three weapons were then blessed with the Okari's strongest magic.
Each weapon was then assigned to a hero, to be named after their patrons - The Dagger of Ninjin (Also known as Ninjin's Dagger), Panyin's Poison, and The Star of Annata. Each represents one of the three corners of the Ninja: Combat, Distance, and Stealth, or Black, White, and Red.
Valiantly marching into battle, the three heroes, dubbed Okari's League faced the evil Ikazara with fierce determination and unmatchable skill. Almost all opponents they faced were easily defeated. They cut through the Ikazara like a hot knife through cold butter. This battle was one of legend to the few who remained to spread its stories of bravery and honour.
Finally, it seemed as though the Ikazara had finally been defeated, then came the Master Swords - a weapon to rival the Weapons of The Okari crafted from the evil magic and dark intent of the Ikazara.
Okari's League was broken. At their wits end, hanging to the threads of their lives, the Okari turned on each other, almost inflicting as much damage in one night that the Ikazara failed to achieve in one hundred years.
The Kingdoms or Tura fell deeper into disarray as every side was now struggling for power, though in reality, there were only four sides to this battle: the Master Sword against each Weapon of The Okari.
In one final battle, the Master Sword was finally destroyed, leaving the Three of Okari's League to fight out for the ultimate rule. In one final act of evil, an innocent's blood was spilt, forming a pool that covered all three Weapons of The Okari. Ninjin turned, recognising the now transformed liquid for what it really was - an elixir if immortality.
She drank it, and reaped the effects of improved strength and senses, as well as eternal youth. Then, she took on her once fellows, feeling more invincible than ever. To her dismay, the elixir didn't grant her untouchable by injury or death and the remaining two Okari killed her. In her final breath, she spoke one final word of wisdom. "If we keep fighting with each other, what will there be left to fight for."
The remaining Okari's League heeded her advice. Seeking the help of the Okari, Panyin and Annata asked for one final sacrifice for the greater good. The Okari accepted, and channelled all their magic into one final object, removing all traces of magic from their blood. This final object became the Eternal Fires of Okari - the only way to destroy the immortality-giving liquid.
Annata and Panyin used the Fires to remove all traces of the liquid, not aware of one final cup hidden by Ninjin during her battles. They then sacrificed themselves, hiding and guarding the Weapons of The Okari on the far corners of Tura.
They stayed their 'till their final moments. Even then, they remained to guard the weapons forever, joining the Kanama - the undead spirits of all the greatest ninjas to ever live.
The Kingdoms of Tura finally settled into peace, leaving a thousand years before the Weapons of The Okari were to be seen again.
